Owen Rhys BA (Oxon)

An Executive Search consultant since 1998, Owen has built strong relationships within the manufacturing sector - including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, IT Services and telecoms - across all functions from sales to supply chain. Client size can vary from blue-chip multinationals to small start-up companies.

Owen learned his profession within the highly rated MSL Executive Search in London (subsequently integrated into TMP), and before that spent 10 years as a Management Consultant. In this latter role he was dealing with both strategic and operational issues in a wide range of industries - from pharmaceutical/chemical processing & control, to packaging, IT and financial services.

As a strategy consultant Owen worked very closely with top teams to create a vision and then ensure successful implementation. This means he saw 'what goodness looks like' in a top team - and some that didn't look so good!

His experience prior to this encompasses 12 years in manufacturing industry, including senior line management roles in technology transfer (linking industry to academic establishments), new product development, sales, new business development and production.

Given this experience of so many sectors, Owen is well placed to understand the issues facing senior executives and hence can pinpoint those top calibre candidates who blend into the specific business environment - those who can make a real impact on the bottom line.

Owen has an MA in Chemistry from Oxford University
